Freebies: 30 Graffiti Backgrounds and Textures
Graffiti is a controversial art form and even considered as illegal in most countries and cultures. Despite of this fact, however, graffiti remains to thrive in many places around the world. Graffiti art comes in form of simple written words scribbled on the wall to elaborate colorful paintings. In this post, we would like to share some colorful graffiti textures in high-resolution format. These were taken in a place called Angono, in the Philippines, where most talented artists in the Philippines reside. These graffiti textures are perfect for creating designs with urban grunge themes. Feel free to download them and use in your projects. Terms of use for these graffiti textures are explained below. The first ten textures are exclusive freebies from Best Design Options while the next 20 are Creative Commons licensed textures from Flickr and Deviantart. We hope you will find these resources useful as well.

Great really, Im impress good selection
it’s unfortunate that the only good piece of actual graffiti is the GEMS. the rest is garbage in the world of graffiti. some of the “artsy” pieces are OK at best. nice to see a post on graffiti imagery but there are plenty out there that are commercial free that hold true to the craft. read “Subway Art” and watch “Style Wars” then look at these. Those were from the 70′s and graffiti has grown exponentially in style and creativity. Again, no diss, just stating the facts. Cheers! #NSF
sorry, made a couple small mistakes. the samurai warrior mask is nice, the alley scene is interesting and the one with all of the tags (though all very toy tags) is a decent background piece. If my statement was confusing before: i meant the 70′s quality is still mimicked today and none of these could hold a candle to the creativity and style they produced. also didn’t mean to sound like I said it was unfortunate that the GEMS was good; it’s a nice simple piece for sure
