25 Custom Picture Frame Brushes for Photoshop
I had nothing much to do last Friday so I brought my camera and scoured our backyard for some grungy materials that I could use as textures. Surprisingly, I was able to take almost half a thousand shots from this short trip. The images include some rusty metals, grungy walls, some wooden materials that are already in advanced stage of decomposition.
I will not limit the use of these photographs to textures. So here, I am sharing with you 25 Photoshop brushes that you can use as custom picture frame for your photos. I made these custom picture frame brushes in Photoshop CS2 so I was able to make large Photoshop brushes (at 2500 pixels each). You can use these free Photoshop brushes to add a twist to your frames or borders for photos as well as documents. Please let me know if you encounter problems installing this brush set. If you are using an older version of Photoshop or if you are using program other than Photoshop, you can request me to send you the PNG file of these brushes. Or, you may just download the texture packs that I am going to post soon.

TERMS OF USE: You may use these brushes for whatever purpose you have in mind, personal and commercial. I hope you’ll find these Photoshop brushes useful. Your comments will be greatly appreciated. But stumbling or digging this post will make us happiest…
Enjoy!
IMPORTANT!!!: Please refrain from redistributing these Photoshop brushes, (i.e., downloading this set and making it available for download somewhere else). Also, HOTLINKING to the archived file is not allowed. Please refer to this post if you want to spread the word.

I cannot download this file without it turning to code???
Is there another way to access it?
Thank you for sharing your time and talent!!
I just hope I can download it..I am on a Mac..could that be the problem???
@Mare -
You should be able to open it in Photoshop regardless of whether you’re using Mac or PC. I created these brushes in Photoshop CS2 so if you’re using a lower version of Photoshop, maybe there could be some compatibility issues. Let me know if you’re still unable to open it.
Mare, I had the same issue with downloading the brushes in Safari. I tried FireFox and it worked.
Try a different browser..
Also, Admin.. I thank you as well for your efforts. These are real handy…

Hi,
I really love your brush set, but I cannot download them, it just opens up to code. I have photoshop cs3 on a Mac Book Pro — can you help?
Thanks!
@Robin -
oh I haven’t fixed the bug. My brush files have long URLs/filenames which in turn are causing downloading issues among Mac users. I’ll try to fix it soon. Sorry about that. Meanwhile, you can try downloading the brushes using Mozilla Firefox. I am not sure but it some were able to download using that browser.
Hi. This is downloading as an .rar file. How do I open this? My Photoshop CS3 can’t open it. Thanks.
@Liz -
you need a Winrar program to open the sile. Try downloading a free trial from here:http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Utilities/Compression_and_Zip_File_Utilities/WinRAR_Download.html
THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!! I LOVE IT!!!
I admit that I am a technilogical dummy! I have downloaded your brushes, saved them in presets in Photoshop, but now I do now know where to find them. HELP?!?

Hi, I have a short tutorial on how to install brushes here: http://bestdesignoptions.com/?p=1406. If you can’t locate where you save the brushes, all you need to do is download the brush pack again but this time, make sure to remember which folder you saved them. And then, just follow the step by step tutorial on how to install these brushes. I’m assuming you are using Photoshop 7 or newer versions. Also make sure that you already unzipped the folder you downloaded. Brushes should have a file extension .abr. I hope this helps.
that helps a ton, thank you. I am so psyched about using them. Accolades for sharing your talent!!
@misty -
no problem…:)
I love the photo brushes. Actually, I love the whole website. Thank you so much.
