1000+ Fractal Art for Creating Light Effects
Light effects can be easily achieved through fractals brushes and textures. Fractal Art (FA) has been around for approximately 15-20 years. Nowadays, digital graphic designers make use of fractal art in creating abstract and beautiful lighting effects such as background of websites and other design forms. Fractal Art is a genre concerned with fractals—shapes or sets characterized by self affinity (small portions of the image resemble the overall shape) and an infinite amount of detail, at all scales. Fractals are typically created on a digital computer, using an iterative numerical process. Lately, images that are not technically fractals, but that share the same basic generating technique and environment, have been welcomed into the FA world.
In this post, we compiled an extensive links to fractal design resources: brushes and textures that are made available online. Most of these resources carry a Creative Commons license, thus, they are free to use for noncommercial purposes under certain conditions laid out by the authors.

09– Traveler by hawksmont
A set of 11 Photoshop brushes created in Photoshop 7. If you want to achieve the effect on the preview use a black background and white paint for the brush. Use a glow brush on a new layer (black layer is beneath). Duplicate the layer with the brush and set the blending mode for this new layer on ‘Overlay’ or ‘Color’ (Overlay works better for me). Select this last layer and open Hue/Saturation window (ctrl+U, command+U), check the colorize option an then move all sliders as you want to.
